A New Look on the Forgotten

I will never be able to experience the life of a stray, but a dog’s life, by Ann M. Martin, will probably bring me as close as I will ever get to actually being a stray dog. Ann gives the reader a vivid description of what life as a stray dog may be like. Although the main character of the book is a dog who speaks in the first person as if she is a human, this description is as real as it gets. As the story progresses, the dog encounters many obstacles such as hunger, shelter and much more along side her brother who is also a stray. In real life, it is not clear if Dogs actually think in English or even think too much at all, but it is clear that the thoughts and experiences of this dog take the readers on a journey that will test their emotions and give them a new outlook about strays.
