Batterson Signature on Fowler Monument

Here is another J. G. Batterson monument from our ancient burial ground. We now have four of his monuments documented. See slides from previous post about how the founder of Travellers was a “Monumental Genius” in the words of Bill Hosley. [https://digitalcrowsnest.wordpress.com/2012/05/01/our-service-project-in-the-graveyard/] I am trying to coordinate the GPS coordinates in this photo and future images to see if there is a possibility for students to make a digital map for the community so that all can access the many layers of history as well as appreciate the totality. These images are also on Flickr photostream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/digitalcrowsnest/sets/72157629718235730/with/7437470126/

The ancient burying ground in Weathersfield could be a good model for our future student projects in the burial ground. http://www.wethhist.org/burying-ground.htm
