Flowers

This modern paining by Joseph Stella is a visual metaphor. He uses just flowers to portray his Italy. These symbols of nature lead us to see his birthplace in a positive light. He purposely uses beautiful colors and elaborate shapes to draw the viewers in. This painting called “Flowers” is using actual flowers to portray the exquisiteness of Italy. The modern style of art made this a very famous painting in the career of Joseph Stella.
