Throughout our work with Clybourne Park, I will try to encourage you to think about our issues of race in American history as well as today. With President Obama being elected as the first African American President, there are obvious signs and symbols of progress regarding euqality in our culture. What else does our nation have to accomplish? I supply this interesting 19th century passage from a Connecticut Minister in order for you to generate ideas for your future essay on the topic.
