In both the movie She’s the Man and the play Twelfth Night the character Viola is a strong female character. As shown throughout the entirety of the movie but specifically when Viola approaches the boys soccer coach about trying out for the team, as well as when she breaks up with her boyfriend in front of his whole soccer team. These specific moments in the movie depict how she is not afraid to advocate for what she wants and also how she asserts her dominance, making her a strong and independent character.
