The Immortal Writer

William Shakespeare is, called by many, the greatest playwright known to man.  Throughout his plays and sonnets he embodies the idea of being an all around writer, incorporating all facets of writing into his work. He manipulated plots and already conceived ideas during his time and constructed them into tragic, romantic and comedic plays. His ability to do this shows how Ben Johnston’s quote, “He was not of an age, but for all time!” is accurate, depicting the idea that Shakespeare will live on forever through his writing. Shakespeare’s ability to construct a complex, yet intriguing, plot is what makes his work so well liked and for this reason he will never die.shakespeare-in-love
