It was around 2000 B.C. when the first couple of houses were built on the territory of today’s city and capital, Ljubljana. The first people living in this place were the lake-dwelling people, and it was so for quite some time. Romans had conquered many cities in their golden age, and the same was with my city around 50 B.C. They lasted until shortly before the ancestors of the Slovenes moved in during 6th century. After this, Ljubljana went through many powers, from noblemen to governors of Austrian Empire. When walking through the old part of this magnificent city, if you concentrate enough, you can feel all of that history that gave Ljubljana its unique vibe.
