Constructive Competition with a Talented Team

Our Suffield team played well against one of our favorite hosts, Pomfret, and the scores below belie the effort and competitive play on each court. Many games in the singles made it to 30-30 before the “no-ad” system narrowed the  competition more.  Throughout the afternoon, girls were producing groundstrokes that were peaking above previous efforts in practice the last few days. We now look forward to another week of meeting good players who will make us stronger tennis players for May competition. Here’s a video we’ll use early in the week to focus on our attention on footwork, racquet preparation, and development of consistency.
