Two Upcoming Programs from the Suffield Historical Society

King House Museum Suffield Historical Society

The Suffield Historical Society presents Chris Kervick, current president of the Windsor Locks Historical Society, as its guest speaker on Wednesday, November 18, 7 p.m. at the Suffield Senior Center. He will bring to life the story of the immigrant Irish workers who dug the canal by hand in the 1820’s. Their tale is largely unknown, but recent discoveries shed light on their tale and their impact on our local area. The public is always welcome at Society meetings.

The holidays will be feted this year at the King House Museum on Saturday, December 5 from 1:00-6:00 and Sunday December 6 from 11:00-4:00 with an exhibit of Decorative Glass:New or Old, Useful or Simply Art.  The King House will be part of the Suffield Garden Club’s holiday house tour on Saturday.  Invite a friend and come visit!  A warm fire will be burning, and refreshments will be offered.
