When I was given the opportunity to read a book of my choice I picked The Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks. I had heard from multiple people that this story was beautifully written and provided a story line in which I could relate to due to my age. I would classify the novel under the romance/drama genre. While reading this novel I found it very easy to follow along due to the flow of the story and the authors word choice. This novel takes place in the Carolina’s where two teenagers, Dawson Cole and Amanda Collier, fall in love and are painfully torn apart but then are reunited later on in their lives. This novel takes the reader through the ups and downs of Dawson and Amanda’s timeless love. I would highly recommend The Best of Me to anyone who is a interested in a good romance novel.
