The Globe Theatre is one of the most important theatres in history with an equally important theatre being The Rose. This theatre had been the epicenter of Shakespeare’s career and was started by James Burbage, who got a 21-year lease to build it. Once the lease was over the landowner refused to renew it due to being puritan and not believe in theatricals. Shakespeare became very invested in the Globe and due to this became very rich, by also putting his plays on there. It was believed that all of his plays had been performed there. The first Globe got burned down on June 29, 1613, since this happened Shakespeare and his company had made another one the next year. This theatre later got demolished by puritans in 1644 and was not rebuilt.
