We Can Do it!

We can do it

The short play Trifles and the political add titled We Can Do It featuring Rosie the Riveter, both convey a similar message about women. In Trifles, the women are able to realize things that reveal who the murderer is that the men, one of which is a trained officer of the law (sheriff), cannot. The We Can Do it political add depicts a woman who’s wearing a blue collar, factory worker’s clothes and flexing her bicep. These both were designed to show that women could do things just as well as men and sometimes-even better.
